Cancelling and Reactivating Your Subscription

What is this?

This guide explains how to cancel your Athli subscription, what happens when you cancel, and how to reactivate if you change your mind.

Cancelling Your Subscription

How to Cancel

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Danger Zone (or Settings > Billing).
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. A confirmation dialog will appear explaining what happens next.
  4. Confirm the cancellation.

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Your subscription is not cancelled immediately. It is scheduled for cancellation at the end of your current billing period.
  • You keep full access to all your plan features until the cancellation date.
  • The billing page will show the cancellation date so you know exactly when access changes.
  • No further charges will be made after the current period.

After Cancellation Takes Effect

  • You drop down to the Starter plan (free).
  • Starter features remain available: workouts, programs, exercise library, messaging, up to 5 clients.
  • Premium features (check-ins, questionnaires, habits, metrics, AI tools, add-ons) become unavailable.
  • Your data is NOT deleted. Everything is preserved. If you resubscribe, all your data will be there exactly as you left it.
  • If you have more than 5 active clients, you will need to archive clients to get within the Starter limit.

Reactivating Your Subscription

If you cancelled but your billing period has not ended yet, you can undo the cancellation:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. You will see a notice that your subscription is scheduled for cancellation.
  3. Click Reactivate.
  4. Your subscription continues as normal, and the cancellation is undone.
  5. Billing resumes on the regular schedule.

Resubscribing After Cancellation

If your subscription has already ended:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Change Plan.
  3. Select your desired plan, client count, and add-ons.
  4. Complete checkout through Stripe.
  5. Your plan is activated immediately and all your previous data is still there.

Cancelling Individual Add-ons

You can cancel add-ons without cancelling your entire subscription:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Find the add-on you want to remove.
  3. Click the cancel option next to it.
  4. The add-on is scheduled for removal at the end of your billing period.
  5. You keep access to the add-on until then.

To undo an add-on cancellation, click Reactivate next to the add-on before the billing period ends.

Deleting Your Account

Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation:

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Danger Zone.
  2. You must cancel your subscription first if you have an active paid plan.
  3. Click Delete Account.
  4. Type the confirmation text to proceed.
  5. Your account and all data will be permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

Warning: Account deletion is permanent. Make sure you have exported any data you need before proceeding.

FAQs

Will I be charged after cancelling?

No. Once you cancel, no further charges are made. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Can I cancel during my free trial?

If you are on a free trial, it simply expires at the end of the trial period. No payment is taken.

What if I cancel by accident?

Click Reactivate on the billing page before your billing period ends to undo the cancellation.

How long is my data kept after cancelling?

Your data is preserved indefinitely. You can resubscribe at any time and pick up where you left off.

Can I cancel from the mobile app?

Yes. Go to Settings > Billing in the mobile app, which opens the billing page where you can manage your subscription.

Do my clients lose access when I cancel?

Your clients keep the free Starter-level experience. Premium features you assigned (check-ins, habits, metrics) become unavailable to them as well.
