What is this?
Connecting Stripe links your Stripe account to Athli so you can accept payments from clients directly through the platform. Stripe handles all payment processing, ensuring secure transactions for both you and your clients.
Why is it useful?
Before you can sell coaching packages or accept any payments through Athli, you need a connected Stripe account. Once connected, clients can purchase your packages and pay you seamlessly without needing a separate invoicing tool or payment platform.
Step-by-Step Guide
Setting Up Stripe
- Go to Business in the sidebar
- Click Connect Stripe
- You will be redirected to the Stripe website
- Complete the Stripe onboarding process by filling in your business and banking details
- Once the onboarding is complete, you are redirected back to Athli
- Your Stripe account is now connected and you can start creating packages

Choosing an Account Type
- You can use a personal Stripe account if you are an individual coach
- You can use a business Stripe account if you operate under a registered business
- Business accounts provide additional features like team access and enhanced reporting
- Both account types work with Athli
Managing Payouts
- Payouts are managed through your Stripe account settings
- Go to Business and click Stripe Dashboard to access Stripe directly
- From Stripe, configure your payout schedule (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Set your preferred bank account for receiving funds

Things to Note
- The Payments feature requires the Payments add-on on certain plans
- Stripe handles all payment processing securely
- Athli does not store credit card information at any point
- Stripe charges standard processing fees on each transaction
- If the Stripe onboarding fails, make sure your account is fully verified before trying again
- You only need to connect Stripe once; it stays linked to your Athli account
FAQs
Do I need a business account for Stripe?
No. You can use a personal Stripe account. Business accounts provide additional features but are not required.
What happens if my Stripe connection is disconnected?
Your existing packages remain in Athli, but clients will not be able to make new purchases until you reconnect. Go to Business and click Connect Stripe again to re-link.
Does Athli take a percentage of my payments?
Check the current pricing page for details on platform fees. Stripe also charges its own standard processing fees.
Can I accept payments in different currencies?
Currency options depend on your Stripe account configuration and the country your account is registered in.
Is my clients' payment data safe?
Yes. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and handles all sensitive payment data. Athli never sees or stores credit card numbers.
