What is this?
The Inbox is Athli's built-in messaging system. It lets you communicate directly with your clients through text, images, files, audio messages, and reactions. All conversations are in one place so you do not need to use WhatsApp, email, or other apps.
Why it is useful
Keeping all client communication inside your coaching platform means nothing gets lost. Messages are tied to client profiles so you have full context. You can also send broadcast messages to multiple clients at once.

- Sending workout tips or motivation to individual clients
- Sharing nutrition plans or training documents
- Answering client questions about their program
- Sending broadcast updates to all clients (e.g., holiday schedule changes)

Step-by-Step Guide
Sending a Message
- Click Inbox in the sidebar
- Select a client from the conversation list on the left
- Type your message in the input field at the bottom
- Press Enter or click Send

Sending Files and Media
- In a conversation, click the attachment icon
- Select files from your computer (max 4 files per message)
- Supported types: images, videos, documents, PDFs
- Click Send

Reacting to Messages
- Hover over any message
- Click the reaction icon
- Select an emoji reaction
- The reaction appears on the message

Replying to a Specific Message
- Hover over a message
- Click the reply icon
- The original message is quoted above your input
- Type your reply and send

Sending a Broadcast Message
- In the Inbox, click the Broadcast button
- Select which clients should receive the message
- Type your message
- Click Send to All
- Each client receives the message as an individual conversation

Viewing Client Profile from a Conversation
- In any conversation, click the client's name or avatar at the top
- A profile panel slides out on the right
- You can see their key information without leaving the chat

Things to Note
- Messages sync in real time across web and mobile
- Clients receive push notifications for new messages
- You can archive conversations to keep your inbox clean
- Message history is preserved even if a client is archived
Common Problems
Messages are not sending Check your internet connection. If the issue continues, refresh the page.
The client says they did not receive my message Make sure they have the app installed and push notifications enabled.
I accidentally sent a message to the wrong client You can delete individual messages by hovering over them and clicking the delete option.
FAQs
Can I send voice messages?
Yes. Audio messages are supported.
Is there a message character limit?
There is no strict character limit, but very long messages may be better sent as files.
Can I search through past messages?
You can scroll through conversation history. A search feature may be available depending on your plan.
Are messages encrypted?
Messages are transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely. End-to-end encryption is not currently available.
Can I message clients who have not accepted their invite yet?
No. The client must have an active account to receive messages.
