Client App: Messaging Your Coach

What is this?

The Chats tab lets you message your coach directly from the app. Send text, photos, videos, files, and audio messages all in one place.

Why it is useful

Having all your coaching communication in one app means you do not need to search through WhatsApp or email for that nutrition plan your coach sent last week. Everything stays organized and connected to your coaching experience.

Step-by-Step Guide

Opening Your Chat

  1. Tap the Chats tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. Tap your coach's conversation
  3. You see your full message history

Sending a Message

  1. Type your message in the input field at the bottom
  2. Tap Send
  3. Your coach receives a notification

Sending Photos and Files

  1. Tap the attachment icon next to the input field
  2. Choose from:
    • Camera to take a new photo
    • Photo Library to select existing photos
    • Files to share a document
  3. Add an optional caption
  4. Tap Send

Sending Audio Messages

  1. Tap and hold the microphone icon
  2. Record your message
  3. Release to send

Reacting to Messages

  1. Long press on any message
  2. Select an emoji reaction
  3. The reaction appears on the message

Viewing Shared Media

  1. In a conversation, you can scroll back through shared photos, videos, and files
  2. Tap any media to view it full screen
  3. Download files to your device if needed

Things to Note

  • Messages sync in real time between your app and your coach's web/mobile app
  • Push notifications alert you when your coach sends a message
  • You can send up to 4 files per message
  • Message history is preserved even if you log out and back in

Common Problems

My message is not sending Check your internet connection. Try closing and reopening the app.

I cannot see photos my coach sent Make sure the app has permission to access your photos and storage. Check your device settings.

I am not getting notifications for new messages Go to your device settings and make sure notifications are enabled for Athli. Also check in-app notification settings.


FAQs

Can I delete a message I sent?

Yes. Long press on your message and select delete.

Can I message my coach at any time?

Yes. Your coach will respond when they are available. Messages are delivered instantly.

Is my chat private?

Yes. Only you and your coach can see your conversation.

Can I share my workout results in the chat?

You can send screenshots or describe your results. Your coach also sees your workout data directly in their app.
