Saving Sections to Library

AndreiWritten by Andrei

What is this?

The section library is where you store reusable workout sections. Instead of rebuilding the same warm-up, strength block, or finisher every time, you can save a section once and drop it into any workout with a few clicks. You can create sections directly in the library or save them from within the workout builder.

Why is it useful?

  • Eliminates repetitive work when you use the same exercise combinations across clients
  • Keeps your programming consistent and standardized
  • Speeds up workout building significantly, especially for coaches with many clients
  • Lets you build a personal library of go-to sections organized by type and tags
  • Sections can be shared across workouts and programs without rebuilding

Step-by-Step Guide

Creating a Section Directly in the Library

  1. Go to Library in the sidebar.
  2. Select the Training tab.
  3. Click Sections.
  4. Click Add Section.
  5. Enter a name, select the section type (Regular, AMRAP, Tabata, HIIT, EMOM, or Circuit).
  6. Add exercises and configure sets, reps, weight, or timing as needed.
  7. Add optional tags for organization (e.g., "warm-up", "finisher", "legs", "upper body").
  8. Click Save.

Saving a Section from a Workout

If you build a section inside the workout builder that you want to reuse later:

  1. Open the section menu (three-dot icon on the section header).
  2. Select Save to Library.
  3. Give the section a name and optional tags.
  4. Click Save.
  5. The section is now available in your library for future use.

Using Saved Sections in Workouts

  1. Open the Workout Builder from a program, client training tab, or library.
  2. Click Add Section.
  3. Browse your saved sections by searching or filtering.
  4. Select a section to add it to the workout.
  5. The section, including all exercises and configuration, is inserted into the workout.
  6. You can customize the added section for the specific workout without affecting the library version.

Managing Your Section Library

From the Library > Training > Sections page, you can:

  • Search sections by name using the search bar.
  • Filter by section type (Regular, AMRAP, Tabata, HIIT, EMOM, Circuit) or by tags.
  • Edit any section by clicking on it.
  • Duplicate a section to create a variation without modifying the original.
  • Delete sections you no longer need. Bulk delete is supported for cleaning up multiple sections at once.

Things to Note

  • Saving a section to the library creates an independent copy. The library version and the workout version are separate.
  • Editing a library section does not change workouts that already use it. Each workout gets its own copy when you add a library section.
  • Tags help you organize sections as your library grows. Use descriptive tags like "warm-up", "finisher", "chest", "leg day", or "beginner".
  • There is no limit to how many sections you can store in your library.
  • Deleting a library section does not affect workouts that already contain it.

FAQs

If I edit a library section, does it update in existing workouts?

No. Once a section is added to a workout, it becomes independent. Changes to the library version do not propagate to workouts already using it.

Can I organize sections into folders?

Not with folders, but you can use tags and the type filter to organize and find sections quickly.

Can I duplicate a section and modify the copy?

Yes. Use the duplicate action to create a copy, then edit it as needed. This is useful for creating variations of an existing section.

Is there a limit to how many sections I can save?

No. Save as many sections as you need.
